Robotic & Bariatric Surgery
Dr. Loan Mai is a Board-Certified General and Bariatric Surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. She completed her General Surgery Residency training at the Philadephia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She also had the privilege of being on the surgical oncology service and trained at the world renowned Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She completed her fellowship in Advanced GI/Robotic and Bariatric Surgery at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in New Jersey. She specializes in advanced endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of obesity.
She immigrated from Vietnam with her family after her father served in the Air Force. Dr. Mai is passionate about helping patients transform their health and quality of life. Inspired by the power of a healthy lifestyle, she was drawn to bariatric surgery and metabolic medicine as a way to provide lasting change. Dr. Mai is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, offering a full spectrum of weight loss options tailored to each patient’s needs. She recognizes that obesity is a chronic disease and takes a comprehensive approach—whether through medical management, endoscopic therapies, or advanced surgical solutions—to guide patients toward long-term success. When she is not at work, Dr. Mai enjoys spending time with her spouse and dog, as well as hosting family dinners.
